Bought the carcass of an old radio at the para-quad junk sale. All tubes gone, most components burnt out or rusted. The chassis had spent some time in the rain. $20 couldn't bear to see it get chucked. It seems to be a 1934 GEC radio from the UK. Found a can of tung oil for $1 at the hardware store. gave it a rub down and a drink of the oil. Turned out very well.

Had a 150W redback woofer and tweeter set that has been in the way for a few years (free). Built a 60W amp from this design at ESP and a 6AU6 preamp designed by Eric Barbour . All the components were just junk pulled from dead lab gear. Intended as a bass/guitar amp or for my drum machines, it is NOT hifi!
